About Augusta BESS

The Project

The proposed Augusta BESS is situated in Port Paterson, South Australia, approximately 800m northeast of the Davenport Substation. The project will occupy around 8.5 hectares of land. This project promises significant benefits and improvements to the local energy infrastructure.

Augusta BESS will provide a total capacity of 270MW/540MWh and will be integrated into the existing transmission line.

The clean energy brought by Augusta BESS will yield numerous advantages to South Australia and Australia’s grid network, particularly in terms of grid stability. Additionally, it will generate more economic benefits and job opportunities for the local community.

Location

The project is situated on Port Paterson Rd, Port Paterson SA 5700, positioned approximately 800 meters northeast of the Davenport substation.

Design

We have finished the initial concept design. The detailed design, land use plans, connection routes, and other aspects will be updated and confirmed in a later stage.

Augusta BESS has submitted the License Application in September 2024.

SEO and EIR draft have been submitted to DEM in December 2024.

Consultation starts from 14th March to 2nd April, with public notification period following to be announced.
